It has been three months since the events of End of the Line.

The survivors have found a temporary home on the luxury yacht Renewal. Despite the break from constant zombie attacks, some of the survivors are having cabin fever, survival is hard in the harsh winter and morale is low. Things get worse as the group set their eyes on a new home, Harbor Island, but getting there is proving to be difficult due to other humans, rough terrain and, of course, zombies.

Stuck in the Middle continues a story of zombies and survivors, narrated by Annemarie, who falls into despair trapped on the boat and Jim who would do anything to give his people a home and hope.
